SoundWay proactively fulfills its role as an equal opportunity employer.  We do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, religion, age, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, national origin, marital/parental status, pregnancy/childbirth or related conditions, physical or mental disability, genetic information, status as a Disabled Veteran, Recently Separated Veteran, Active Duty Wartime or Campaign Badge Veteran, Armed Forces Services Medal, or any other characteristic protected by law.  SoundWay will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.  However, employees who have access to the compensation information of other employees or applicants as a part of their essential job functions cannot disclose the pay of other employees or applicants to individuals who do not otherwise have access to compensation information, unless the disclosure is (a) in response to a formal complaint or charge, (b) in furtherance of an investigation, proceeding, hearing, or action, including an investigation conducted by the employer, or (c) consistent with the contractor’s legal duty to furnish information.  If you require a reasonable accommodation to apply for a position with SoundWay through its online applicant system, please contact SoundWay HR Department at (703) 662-5062.  SoundWay is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer – minorities, females, disabled and protected veterans are urged to apply.  Upon request, SoundWay will make accessible to you its Affirmative Action Plan for protected veterans and individuals with a disability.  If you are interested, please submit a written request to HR during regular business hours, and we will schedule a time for you to review the Affirmative Action Plan.  SoundWay utilization of any external recruitment or job placement agency is predicated upon its full compliance with our equal opportunity/affirmative action policies.  SoundWay does not accept resumes from unsolicited recruiting firms.  We pay no fees for unsolicited services.  Applicants have rights under Federal Employment Laws.  EEO is the Law and Supplement, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Polygraph Protection Act (EPPA).

COVID-19 VACCINATION REQUIREMENT

Executive Order 14042 requires that the employees of companies that contract with the federal Government are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  Individuals are considered fully vaccinated for COVID-19 two (2) weeks after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series (Pfizer/Moderna), or two (2) weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson).  Prior COVID-19 infection and positive antibody testing do not replace the vaccine requirement.

SoundWay is committed to demonstrating compliance with this order.  All SoundWay employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by their first day of employment.  Reasonable accommodation exceptions (“waiver”) to the vaccine mandate will be considered where legally/contractually possible, and in such cases, employment is contingent upon such waiver being approved by the appropriate approval authority.  You may contact SoundWay’s Human Resources office to discuss this issue.

Employees are required to provide proof of vaccination to SoundWay as put forth by the Safer Federal Workforce Task Force.

Acceptable documents include:

  • A copy of the record of immunization from a health care provider or pharmacy
  • A copy of the COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (CDC Form MLS-219813_r, published on September 3, 2020)
  • A copy of medical records documenting the vaccination
  • A copy of immunization records from a public health or state immunization information system
  • A copy of any other official documentation verifying vaccination with information on the vaccine name, date(s) of administration, and the name of the health care professional or clinic site administering the vaccine

JOB CANDIDATE REFERRALS AND STAFFING COMPANIES

SoundWay will pay a $2,000.00 finder’s fee to any individual person who submits a resume (“Candidate”) to SoundWay if SoundWay shall hire (for employment) their Candidate after the Candidate’s 90th day as a SoundWay employee provided SoundWay had not already received the same Candidate’s resume from another source within the 12 months prior.  SoundWay’s decision to use a staffing company is predicated upon the staffing company’s full compliance with SoundWay’s equal opportunity and affirmative action policies.  SoundWay does not pay fees to companies for unsolicited services.
